Pure Beeswax Candles: As the name implies, our pure beeswax candles are made with just that, 100% pure beeswax and a cotton wick. We source our raw beeswax from U.S. beekeepers, then lightly filter it and match it to the perfect strength of wick. The result is a sweet, simple, high-quality candle that burns longer and cleaner than the rest -- with immaculate vibes, of course.

We also offer ivory beeswax candles, which are off-white in color and completely free of the pollen and honey content that gives raw beeswax its characteristic scent and color.

Scented Beeswax Candles: Our Beeswax Botanica line celebrates the alchemy of bee and blossom by pairing raw beeswax with pure essential oils and botanicals for subtle, sophisticated and all-natural fragrances.

Scented Candles: Our Bluecorn Aromática line of non toxic scented candles is perfect for folks seeking stronger hot throw (scent while burning). Made with vegan coconut wax, Prop 65 compliant and phthalate-free fragrance oils, essential oils and cotton wicks.

A note about packaging: At Bluecorn we consider packaging and containers an "ingredient" that's why you'll find so many custom refill options available across our lines, all of which come in fully home-compostable packaging!

We use high-quality, high-melting temp waxes like pure bees wax and coconut wax, so you'll always be getting great burn time for your buck with Bluecorn.

That being said, different candle sizes, shapes and types are designed for different burn styles. You'll have a much better candlelit experience if you pick the right candle for your situation. Not sure what that is? Take our candle quiz to find out!

In general, wider candles are designed to burn for longer at a time and narrower candles can burn for shorter or more flexible periods.

For candles 3 inches or more in diameter, you're likely looking at individual burns in excess of 3 hours to avoid tunneling.

For candles 1-2 inches in diameter, an hour to 90 minutes is usually ideal.

Thinner candles like tapers burn for an hour per inch of length but can be burned for as short or long as you like.

Container candles like our beeswax candles in blown glass or non toxic scented candles should always be allowed to burn until the molten wax reaches the container wall before extinguishing. This usually takes an hour per inch of diameter, so if you prefer shorter burns, get a smaller candle and refill it more often, or opt for a smaller candle like our pure beeswax tea lights.

Our pure beeswax line is made with 100% pure beeswax and a cotton wick. Our non toxic scented candle line, Bluecorn Aromática, is made with coconut wax, which doesn't bring it's own fragrance to the mix and can hold a higher fragrance load for stronger scent while burning. We use extremely high-quality, clean fragrance oils that are Prop 65 compliant and always phthalate-free, for luxurious scents that fill the room without overpowering. We've developed nine unique scented candles, each inspired by a different facet of the western Colorado landscape we call home.

We do ship internationally, just enter your address at checkout to confirm and shop market rates. International purchasers are not eligible for free shipping and responsible for customs duties should they arise.

Our standard, domestic shipping policy is outlined in full here, but essentially we ship most orders within 3 business days (usually faster) and they generally take another 3-5 to reach your doorstep if you get the usual ground rate. These times all get longer during the holiday rush, so we recommend shopping early! We offer free shipping on all domestic orders over $100.

If you need to return you candles but there's nothing wrong with them (you just changed your mind or don't like the scent), we're happy to take them back -- we just ask you ship them back to us un-burned and in good condition.

If your candles arrive and there's nothing wrong with them, you just don't like the scent or otherwise changed your mind, no worries! We're happy to take them back un-burned, we just ask that you cover shipping in those cases.

The right candle for you depends on two principle factors: how long you like to burn candles for and whether or not you want your candle to have a scent.

If you enjoy burning candles for a long time, say all day or all evening, then larger (aka wider) candles are a great fit for you. Try our 3" dia. pure beeswax pillars or large Aromática if your seeking scented.

If you like shorter burns, say a half hour while you're meditating or an hour over dinner, then you'll want narrower candles. Our pure beeswax tapers are a great, flexible option, as are pure beeswax tea lights.
